Description
Of Work: Surveyed and placed legal monuments on all 4 corners of our property.
Comments:
Vlad and Ben were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, informative and friendly. I first called Vlad last summer
when I developed a strong desire to fence in my 2 young children. After checking other companies reports and profiles on the
List and talking to a few other companies, I decided that Vlad's very competitive pricing, flexibility, professionalism
and sense of humor had won my business. Then, after looking at my finances, I realized that the fence would have to wait another
year. My husband convinced me that we should wait to survey until closer to the time the fence would be built. I made a note
to myself to hire EDS when the time came, along with a mental note that their price was $495 to do a survey (actually their
base price) and went on about my business until warm weather came for a few days in March. I then called Vlad set up an appointment.
Our phone call was very brief and business-like. I told him that we'd already talked about the details last Summer and
was ready to hire him. In retrospect, I realize this was a mistake. We should have reviewed the cost structure. Their base
fee is $495 for a boundary lot survey in the Twin Cities, assuming the lot markers are there somewhere underground. In our
case, there were no lot markers. In fact, several of our neighbors had no lot markers. Three lot markers on our block were
misplaced(i.e. out of line with other markers on the block, the layout of the block and with city easements)which Vlad and
Ben hadn't run into before. So, Vlad and Ben had to find markers and take measurements all the way up the block(approx.
20 properties)just to determine with certainty where our property corners are. They also had to place legal monuments on all
four corners of our property since all four were missing. These were surprises, obviously. Beyond that, they also placed what
I'll call a visual marker(not the rebar they placed at the property corners)at a retaining wall where we were planning
some work. The team kept me fully informed of what was going on, but, not having my full attention(kids in attendance)they
were doing uphill work with that part of the job too. It wasn't until I saw their completed product and paid the bill
that I realized what a deal I had gotten(the kids were at school or napping by this point). They spent most of the day doing
what would normally take a morning. They addressed the interesting challenge of misplaced property markers with professional
zeal. They addressed my dawning sticker shock with overwhelming compassion and slashed the final bill considerably. They worked
and cleaned up(there's some digging involved in finding property markers)in an unobtrusive way. Working with EDS was a
great experience. I recommend them to all my "neighbors" on Angie's List!

Client: ADRAINA GORIAN
Description of Work: I
had a boundary lot survey done for my house in St. Louis Park. I asked to have the boundary marked for
a fence that I needed to correct. The team of surveyors searched for hours to find two monument irons and
had to place the other two that were missing. They also put marker flags along the boundary line.
Comments:
My experience with EDS was very good. They arrived on time
and the job took most of the day to complete; they called me at work periodically to update me on the status.
The team exhibited great communication skills, not only with me to explain their findings, but also with my neighbors
who were curious about the project. I wish I would have know about them years ago.

Client: KRISTINE SIMONSON
Description of
Work: They surveyed the boundaries of our property
as well as did a topographic survey and surveyed the ordinary high water marks for the lake.
Comments: It has been great so far, they are just finishing up the work. It has been a very good experience
so far. I would hire them again in the future, and recommend them to others. They are
very reasonably priced.

Client: CELESTE LEVIE
Description of
Work: Surveyed city lot with certification of boundary
lines, including possible boundary dispute.
Comments: It went extremely well.
They gave me a quote over the phone and set up an appointment that matched MY schedule. They arrived
on time and were hard at work when I got home. The job turned out to be more complicated than expected
and took longer than expected, but they stuck with it to complete the survey – even though it made them late for their
own meeting. They were well mannered, friendly, fun and clearly extremely professional, honest and dedicated
to EXCELLENT work. There was no “up-charge”
for unexpected challenges and they did not
change the price from the original quote, even though more work was involved than they had expected. I
would recommend this contractor to any and all. I like their attitude. Honesty, integrity,
hard work, and just plain fun.

Client: ASHLEY MERCER
Description of Work: EDS surveyed our lot so that we could fence the backyard. They located the property corners and placed stakes at each
corner.
Comments: Really good experience! I called and was able
to set up an a time for the survey within a few days. The surveyor arrived and completed the job at the time designated. He
called me at work to tell me that there had been a small problem with the survey, but that he had resolved the issue. Both
the surveyor and the owner of the company were very professional over the phone. ______________________________________________________________________________________

Client: JOSEPH SHAFFER
Description of Work: Came and did a land survey on Summit Avenue in St Paul, surveyed the 3 lots of our property, make
a site plan, made additional plans showing the position and dimensions of a proposed new garage, placed new monuments.
Comments: They did a great job, I don't know if any other company would have
been cheaper, the initial estimate was very reasonable. They were polite and friendly, they came out quickly and did the work
even though it was on a very cold winter day. The process took several days. He missed the first day as he was sick, but turned
up the next day.

Description
of Work: I had them mark
property lines so I could have a backyard fence put in.
Comments:
Vlad was great! He and his assistant really came promptly and came the day after
I made the request by phone. He told me what he was going to charge and charged exactly that amount. He was also in a pleasant
mood and left the area looking nice when he left. ______________________________________________________________________________________
